about

Friends, family, nerds! "Pallet 2 Plateau: A Pokémon Hip-Hop Album", is a kid-friendly** (but hard rap) concept set in the world of Pokémon Red and Blue.

At only 9 tracks long it doesn't LOOK like two years of work, but this album is special to me because of all the changes, places, and faces that I have come across during it's creation. I wrote the first verse of "Welcome 2 The Stadium" in the Spring of 2012! (I can't believe I've sat on music for that long!).

I have been lucky enough to be a part of the 'nerdy' music scene for the better part of 5 years, even though I put out an album in 2009 with Lefthand and have been freestyling 80% of my sets ever since. Still, the overwhelming support and friendship I've received from fans and fellow musicians has never let me waiver from this project.

The Shinobi MC is featured spitting fire as Professor Oak, along with chorus help from Sharon Joy Yost and Lauren Moore, truly two of the finest vocalists I've ever met. Stellar production of Studio 18 and Isaac of FREE DAPS helped me get the right sound. The idea was inspired by Random aka Mega Ran's wonderful concept album "FFVII: Black Materia", which still stands head and shoulders above every concept album this side of the Protomen.

I wish to give a huge THANK YOU to anyone who has ever come to one of my shows and supported this crazy hobby, from the days of Lefthand & Scrub Club, to playing in front of hundreds of fans at conventions and venues all across the country. This is the life of a meganerd, baby.

Sincerely,
- Shammers

**The track "Gym Leader Shufflin'" has the words "testicles" and "piss". Lt. Surge is just a foul-mouth.
